Ra-226, Ra-228 and in addition to many countries want to know status of Cs-137 (radionuclide due to global fallout). Background Because nuclear gauges contain licensed radioactive sources and analytical equipment's containing radioactive source. In view of this these materials must not be discarded as ordinary trash, recycled as scrap metal, or abandoned. At the end of its working life, a nuclear gauge/analytical equipment's must be transferred to an organization that is licensed to receive and dispose of the radioactive sources in the gauge/equipment's.
